Booking questions that screen invitees for you

A booking page that accepts anyone fills your calendar with meetings you would have declined. TimeFlux lets you ask questions before the booking is confirmed, and act on the answers.

Ask what you need to know

Each event type can carry up to ten custom questions. Five question types are available:

  • Short text, for a company name or job title
  • Long text, for a description of the project or problem
  • Phone number
  • Dropdown, for a fixed list such as budget range or team size
  • Checkbox, for a yes or no confirmation

Screening rules act on the answers

On the Pro and Teams plans, you can attach rules to dropdown and checkbox questions. Each rule matches one answer and does one of two things:

  • Block: the invitee sees a message you write and the meeting is not booked
  • Redirect: the invitee is sent to another URL, such as a different event type, a waiting list or a help page

Rules are enforced on the server

Answers are validated and screening rules are applied when the booking is submitted, not only in the browser. An invitee cannot skip a required question or slip past a rule by editing the page.

Answers travel with the booking

The host sees every answer alongside the booking, so the meeting starts with context instead of ten minutes of basic questions.

Frequently asked questions

How many questions can I add to a booking page?

Up to ten per event type, in five types: short text, long text, phone number, dropdown and checkbox. Each can be marked required.

Can I block certain people from booking?

Yes. A screening rule can block a booking and show your own message when an invitee picks a particular dropdown option or checkbox answer.

Which plan includes screening rules?

Custom questions are available on every plan. Screening rules that block or redirect require Pro or Teams.
