Round-robin scheduling without a per-seat fee
Round-robin scheduling shares incoming meetings across a group of people. An invitee uses one link, and the booking goes to one of the hosts behind it. TimeFlux includes it in the Teams plan at a flat price.
What round-robin scheduling is
Instead of each teammate publishing their own link, the team publishes one. Behind that link is a pool of hosts. A time is offered whenever at least one host is free, and each booking is assigned to one host.
It suits any meeting where the invitee does not mind who they meet: a demo, a support call, a first-round interview, an onboarding session.
How it works in TimeFlux
Setting up a round-robin event takes a few minutes:
- Create a team and invite your teammates
- Add a team event and choose Round Robin as the scheduling type
- Select which team members act as hosts for that event
- Share the event link, or your team page listing all team events
- Each booking goes to the available host with the fewest assignments so far
Round-robin or collective?
TimeFlux has two team scheduling types. Round-robin assigns each meeting to one host from the pool. Collective requires every selected host, so it only offers times when all of them are free. Use round-robin to share load and collective for meetings that need several people in the room.
Why the pricing matters
Round-robin only makes sense with several people, which is exactly when per-seat pricing gets expensive. TimeFlux Teams is $15 a month for the workspace, so a pool of eight hosts costs the same as a pool of two.
Frequently asked questions
What is round-robin scheduling?
Round-robin scheduling distributes meetings booked through one shared link across a group of hosts, so the workload is shared and invitees see more available times.
Which TimeFlux plan includes round-robin?
Round-robin events are part of the Teams plan, which is a flat $15 a month regardless of team size.
What is the difference between round-robin and collective events?
A round-robin event assigns the meeting to one host from a pool. A collective event books all selected hosts together and only offers times when every one of them is available.
